Inside TekStream’s Workforce Academy

Your next cybersecurity hire may already be working inside a TekStream-powered, student-run SOC at a university down the street. Designed to help close the cybersecurity workforce gap, TekStream’s Workforce Academy equips students with the academic foundation and the real-world experience needed to contribute to security teams from day one as Level 2 cybersecurity analysts.

Built on a three-part, mission-based model, the Workforce Academy aims to:

• Strengthen Cybersecurity Operations: Universities and government agencies gain access to SOC capabilities via a multi-tenant SOC setup, without the cost and complexity of building a standalone SOC.
• Develop the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Talent: Students work alongside TekStream employees within a student-powered SOC at their university, gaining hands-on experience across real security operations, threat detection and AI-assisted security workflows.
• Transform the SOC Into a Profit Center: Using the student-powered SOC model, organizations can extend the capabilities across their state. In doing so, the student-SOC supports workforce development, regional security and long-term program sustainability.
