Business Pain: Focusing on driving operational efficiency has led to exponential growth for this quick service restaurant chain. It has more than 2,900+ locations nationwide and has generated $64 B (2022) in revenue.The QSR needed to leverage a self-service portal to provide operators (individuals running the restaurants) with the tools needed to conduct their business in a more efficient manner because the current solution was antiquated and not able to integrate with other key enterprise systems. As different operators and various role types within the restaurants needed to see different information, our client also desired a solution that could provide personalized and secure information based on knowing the user logged into the portal. Finally, as more store operators and corporate users also accessing this solution need mobile access to this solution, our client’s end users wanted a solution that was accessible via mobile devices while in the field.

How we fixed it : TekStream led the requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation effort to redesign the QSR’s portal solution, which serves both corporate employees as well as store operators. The portal provides access to a wide variety of system integrations including the Store Point of Sales system, Oracle E-Business Suite applications, targeted web-based communications and the large repository of documents and multi-media content.

The new solution provides the end-user with personalized information based on their role and knowledge of their profile to dramatically enhance the effectiveness and timeliness of the information being presented. In addition, the user interface has been developed such that this information can be easily accessed from mobile devices for those operators going between stores and homes.
