Business Pain: The Cayman Islands has been utilizing legacy Oracle portal technologies to create and manage many of its internal and external websites and have started investigating alternative technologies to replace the current systems. The legacy portal technologies deployed are beyond their extended support timeframe and was not conducive to allowing line of business users to create and manage their own content and sites easily. As a result, Cayman Islands has selected Oracle’s Content and Experience Cloud to create, manage, and deliver its many websites while improving the internal user experience for creating and management of sites and content and providing external users with rich and modern web experiences.
The Cayman Islands is in process of revitalizing their portal technologies but also performing a site update for GOV.KY, the Cayman Islands Government website, to a more modern and user friendly design. To fully recognize a successful transition of technology and look and feel, The Cayman Islands needs to include better methods of site management, fully utilize reusable content, and empower departments and lines of business users to truly own and manage their own content.
How we fixed it : TekStream worked with the Cayman Islands to implement the Oracle Content and Experience Cloud as their new Enterprise Content Management application and the delivery engine of the updated GOV.KY site. Standardized templates, CSS, Web Assets, and global content empowers a consistent look and feel across all of the GOV.KY pages and microsite while enabling content owners to focus on creating, managing, and publishing content autonomously. The solution allows for departments, agencies, and single use sub-sites to be create and managed by non-technical users based on established look and feel to ensure consistency across the Cayman Islands’ websites.
