With the release of WebCenter Dot 8 (SP 7), there are new features, updates, and even new interfaces. The “WebCenter Dot 8 Ask the Experts” panel allows Oracle WebCenter customers to ask specific details about implementing WebCenter Content, Portal, and Imaging on the newest version of Oracle’s product stack. Learn how to overcome issues, take advantage of new features, and how to migrate from previous versions.

Speakers:

  • Troy Allen – Executive Director WebCenter Solutions and Training Recently honored as one of the few Oracle Deputy CTO’s for Oracle E20, Tory Allen started working with Content Management technologies in 1998. During his career, he was one of the first pre-sales engineers for IntraNet Solutions, which later became Stellent. Troy sated with Stellent and then with Oracle after the Stellent acquisition. Troy Allen is now the Executive Director of WebCenter Solutions and Training at TekStream Solutions. His expertise is in Oracle’s WebCenter Sites and WebCenter Content Management Suite, including all of its components — Document Management, Records Management, Digital Asset Management, Information Rights Management (now part of Oracle’s security offerings), Web Content Management, and Image Process Management — comes from over a decade of providing successful solutions to real-world problems with managing structured and unstructured content.
  • Sid Desai – Director, Content Management Solutions  Sid Desai has over 10 years of experience in Information Technologies with the primary focus on Stellent/Oracle Content Management systems.  As the Director of E20 Delivery at TekStream Solutions, he is focused on establishing company and industry-wide best practices around the Oracle ECM suite for TekStream’s customers, as well as for our own internal resources.  Sid is one of the foremost knowledgeable experts in Oracle UCM technology, and compliments that with extensive experience in all areas of the Oracle Enterprise Content Management Suite.
  • Ankur Bassi – Director, WebCenter Portal Consulting  Ankur Bassi has over 13 years of experience in the information technology industry and product development. As Director Portal Consulting, he oversees delivery of Web-based applications and solutions.  He has extensive experience in various portal frameworks and content management solutions. As an experienced technical architect, he strives to find the optimal application design that will utilize emerging Oracle technologies and industry standards with business requirements. Ankur holds a Bachelors of Computer Science degree from Georgia State University. He has also received certifications for Oracle WebCenter Portal Solutions and Oracle Content Management Solutions.
